''Hmm, it's obvious we canot simply stroll into the city as of yet so we shall need to get rid of anything that will give us away.... like your scar.'' Karai mused, running her index finger absent-mindedly down the double-x shaped line on her lovers face. ''My own scars can hidden beneath a dress so yours is the only one that can tie us down, really.'' She finished holding her chin in a hand as she thought, a little smirk flickering across her lips at the thought of the palace in flames, her brown eyes clouding over as she thought of the beautiful sight.... Of course, I wont actually get to kill the pharoah since its been Touzoku's quest for years but I shall play a main part in his destruction.... She ran her fingers through her hair, shaking away the sand before narrowing her eyes and raising a finger as an idea struck her. ''I'd say an exotic dancer and a palace gaurd would be in the line for some very juicy gossip about that pharoah, would'nt you say?''It was so simple she almost cried. ''All you have to do is slip in at the changing of the gaurds and .....make sure one never makes it to his post, shall we say. Viola- you turn up in his uniform while the gaurds bitch about what a crap job they have....'' Karai had started to pace, tapping her index finger against her cheek as she talked. ''I could go to a sleazy club near the soldiers barracks and seduce one or two of the men... lead them into a back room....tie 'em down and torture information out of him. And even if that doesnt work it'll still be rife with information. Of course....'' Karai had become more and more animated as she planned but as she finished her sentance the tomb robber grimaced a little bit. ''It will mean acting like a slut. But its for a greater good, no?'' At least thats what she told herself.''My pharoah, your meal is ready.'' Came a calm yet worried voice from outside the door as Mahaado requested to enter. Atemu did'nt even answer the preist untill the third call. ''I'm not hungry, Mahaado.'' Was his irritable answer as he stared over the darkening city, wondering where she was.. and if it really had been a lie.''Tell the gaurds to increase securit- nevermind.'' Atemu was about to order the tightening of security after he was able to sneak out today but somehow could'nt close his only window to the outside world. Or to her.''My pharaoh, are you all right?'' Came the request but Atemu answered with a sigh. ''I'm fine Mahaado.'' Came the reply in a heavy voice. ''Just feeling a little tired.'' ...and foolish....

"You are a genius, almost like me.", Touzoko-ou told her with a smirk. "Now all we need to do is get to work!". he announced, madness shining in his eyes again. He told one of his men about the plan and then mounted one of the horses, waiting for Karai to take a second one. "Come on! The city is waiting! We should start our plan tomorrow night!", he told her as they started their journed towards the capital.
They rode all night and reached the town gates by morning, where Touzoko-ou jumped off his horse. "We better walk from here on. We dont want to be recognized unexpectedly, now do we? And we need a meeting place where we will exchange information daily."
Naina could not sleep, or at least not peacefully. So when she rose in the afternoon she felt that she had only physically rested. Her mind was focused only on one man. "That cant be! I have to stop this! But I have to see him! Only one time from far away if it has to be!", she told herself as she dressed in a shining white gown which was offered to her by the lady she lived in with a matching red belt, which she tied around her slim waist before leaving the house walking towards the palace. She returned to the spot where she had met Atemu the day before, not really surprised to find it empty. And yet she was sad about it. Never has there be a woman more foolish than me. He can have any woman he wants! What would he want with something like me?, she thought not without some despair. She walked around the palace, looking at the magnificent building and yet having no desire to live in it. "A giant prison...", she whispered to herself as she stood once again, without knowing it, under Atemu's balcony.

Karai's black-lashed brown eyes narrowed as she scanned the city walls and the contempt for it rose in her throat, bubbling into a massive well of hatred and satisfaction at its near destruction. ''Very well.'' She replied, dismounting and landing a little unsteadily on the uneven ground of the stony roads. ''The theif reached back over her head and pulled a veil to protect her face from being noticed over her short black hair, securing it so only her eyes were showing. Her attire had been changed before they left for the capital and now her clothes were tight-fitting and brightly coloured. Silk purple and blues with gold belts around her waist, the dress showed off a lot more thigh and stomach than she desired. ''Lets meet....'' Karai scanned her brain for old places they could rendevous at as she secured her veil, her jewellery jangling softly in the morning breeze as the many slik clothes that made up her dress floated softly in the wind, brushing againsnt her ankles, knees and thighs. ''Lets meet behind the meat stall in the market closest to the palace, there's a small illegal tavern behind there- no questions asked kind of place.''Her eye's shone brightly over the veil as she looked towards the city gates. ''Lets go then. We should meet every two hours or so to avoid suspicion.'' She thethered her horse at a watering through nearby before taking a few steps towards the city, her heart thudding slightly as her body filled with excitment. Atemu was still in no mood to talk the next morning, but got on with his duties before going back into his room and slouching over to the window to survey his kingdom as he usually did when upset or aggrivated. As he stood there something caught his eyes and, looking dow he almost didnt belive what he saw. It was her. Nania. Under his window. Atemu reared back, standing back from the ledge in case she saw, his heart beating fast. What? No! what is she doing here??Why must she haunt me!?

Naina just stood there under the balcony for a moment, feeling strangely lost. Then, almost as if some magical force was guiding her she looked up and saw him. The balcony was high up, but she could unmistakably make out his form. She gasped at how strange fate could be, but then she had to smile. There, I got what I wanted. Now I should go and move on with my life..., she thought to herself. Maybe she should move towns again? Being so close to him would only drive her mad. She bowed to Atemu and then waved. She did not know whether he would be able to hear her or not, but she shouted: "Goodbye your majesty! Dont forget me too soon!" And then she truned around to leave, determined to leave the town by sunset. But the more she thought about it, the less she liked the idea. The home she had found in Thebes was too nice to give up on.
Touzoko-ou scanned Karai's new appearance with a bemused expression on his face. "Why, you look almost like a lady. Only your manners would need serious improvement.", he joked as he walked around her, one hand running around her waist. "Just make sure you will not get too attached to this life or one of your costumers. Or I will have to slit their throats.", he breathed into her ear and one finger traced a line across her throat. With an evil laugh he moved away from her and pulled an old cloak over his body, pulling the hood up. "I shall meet you in two hours then.", he said and disappeared into the gate, ready to fulfill his part of the plan. Taking down one of the guards was mere child's play for a thief like him and within moments he had assumed the post of a palace guard. Walking through the palace corridors he remembered every detail of his surroundings that might come in useful during an attack. "This palace is indeed well protected, but it has more weak points than I had expected. It is like if the security is not on full alert. Those bastards really must have gotten used to peace too much...This will be a lot easier than I have thought....", he thought to himself, wondering what his partner would find out.

Minutes later Karai found herself in front of a sleazy bar well-known for its strippers and dancers, only a stone's throw away from the main soldiers barracks outside of the palace. A perfect place for information. ''Hey darlin, how much???'' A passing fisherman leered at the theif. Immeadiatly a shiver ran down Karai's spine at the words. I hate this city. She fumed silently, her bejewlled hands twitching towards a dagger concealed beneath her belt but at the last second she stopped and entered the building, ignoring the man. It was called the Golden River or something equally as tedious, not that Karai cared much.It was dimly lit inside as the acrid smell of insence burnt her nose through the veil. It was a simple matter of killing one of the dancers before the show and taking her identity and gold&silk headpeice to wear before starting to dance.Karai spied a few soldiers and moved nearer to them, her jewellery jangling gracefully as she moved her body in a seductive manner, hating every second and yet finding it so amusing. Her dancing was not the best but she was agile and nimble, knowing how to move her shoulders and hips to the music to get attention. ''Pharoah is acting weird.." A snipped of a conversation caught her attention and she twirled over nearer to the table where too gaurds were talking-obviously on a break. This should be interesting.. She thought, her eyes shining over the veil.Atemu closed his eyes and clenched his hands into fists as her image burned brightly into his head like a searing hot iron. Why? Why has she come back? Why cant I just forget her? She means nothing to me.But relief was filling his heart, almost freeing his airways and making him feel a little lighter. She came back... it wasn't a scam.... At least Atemu hoped so, and he clung to this small hope tightly- odd, for someone who did'nt care. ''Wait!!'' He leaned forward over the edge of the balcony and bellowed down to where she was leaving. ''Why did you come back!?!?!'' Wait..... come back..... come back...... come back..... His yell echoed off the surrounding buildings and came back to him, his voice getting fainter and fainter as the echoes faded away. The pharoah stood there, leaning over the balcony, gripping the ledge so tightly that his knuckles had turned white. His voice was urgent, as thought he dearly wanted to know.

"Apparently he had escaped from the palace yesterday.", the guard continued his conversation, but then Karai caught his eyes and he turned away to watch her for some moment. "And? What happened?", the other guard urged him on to speak. "What? Nothing happened. He returned and nobody knew where he was or who he met. Although there are some rumors going around.", the first guard finished, not looking away from Karai, but checking out every part of the dancer's body. "Come here, lady.", he finally called over to her.
Touzoko-ou had finished his tour of the palace, having familiarised himself enough with it to be able to find the quickest way to escape if needed. "Well then, time for some pleasant chats with my fellow guards about the newest gossip.", he said quietly to himself, an evil grin spreading on his features as he returned to the guarding post he was supposed to hold with another guard.
Naina stopped in her tracks when she heard Atemu's voice. She wanted to leave, but a stronger will inside her didn't let her. So she finally turned around and just looked at him. Why did I come back?, she repeated the question in her mind. "Because of the spell you put on me, my King. It is drawing me back.", she replied, feeling rather stopid for such a reply, but this was how she felt it.

Karai stopped for a second as he called to her, immeadiatly assuming trouble but as the realisation of what she was pretending to be sunk in she put on her best seductive smile and weaved through the other girls over to her heralder, her clothes swniging softly with her arcs of her hips.''Yes, my lord?'' She asked in a soft, breathy voice as she arrived in front of the gaurd, smiling and looking at him from under her eyelashes, looking away slowly before looking back every few seocnds in a popular seduction technique, her body still swaying to the music. ''Hey- you hear the Pharoah's supposed t'be gettin married soon?'' The gaurd beside Touzoku-ou asked, glad of anything to releive him of his boring job in the hot sun. ''I dunno if its a rumor or not, but apparently the preists wanna set up our king into a marraige of some kind... y'know he's nearly a man, the pct that he doesnt have a wife already is almost shameful.'' The man chuckled slightly, tapping his spear agaisnt the ground in a rythem. ''The queen's crown wont be empty for long- the people thinks its because there's no heir to the throne the gods are givin' us this draught... you hear anythin'? ''Atemu stared down at Nania and everything suddenly became a bit blurred as he heard what he had said, a swatdrop appearing on his left temple. She was serious. So it's not just me... I am not going insane..''Stay there.'' He ordered, withdrawing back into his room and minutes later he re-appeared down below in the courtyard, not even bothering to wonder how she got there in the first place.''Tell me.'' He demanded a little breathlessly. ''Is this all some kind of scam???''

Naina looked at Atemu as if he had just insulted her. "A scam, your majesty? Do you think that just because I am a dancer I am also a prostitute? If this is the case I will have to disappoint you! I have some honor too!", she told him angrily. This was not what she had expected from him. Not after the charming side of him she had met the day before. "And if all you are going to do is insult me I might as well leave. Farewell."
Touzoko-ou immediately turned to his fellow guard. "An arranged marriage?", he asked with interest. This could come in handy for him. "And who will be the lucky bride?", he continued. The other guard just shrugged his shoulders, looking indifferent. "Who knows? Probably one of the princesses of the neighbouring countries. Who cares?" But then a smile spread across his features. "But once the Pharaoh is married he will be allowed to set up his own Harem. One thing I quite envy him for. Dont you agree?" Touzoko-ou just nodded, already thinking of something else. The plan was daring, but he liked it that way. He would have to tell Karai about it. "Lets see about what kind of queen you shall get..." ,he thought to himself.
The guard grabbed Karai's hand and pulled her down onto his lap. "You are a fine one. You must be new as well. This place is getting interesting with all these fine new ladies. Not the same ones all the time. They were already starting to get boring.", he said. "I would not be surprised if the Pharaoh sneaked out of the palace to meet someone like you."

Atemu stepped back, guilt registering on his face as he realised he hit a nerve. I was so absorbed in my own confusion I frogt what would happen if she truely was innocent! And look what I have done now!! The pharoah cursed himself silently.''I'm sorry, I was so caught up in my own world... I did'nt mean to offend you.'' He apologised, snapping back to reality and catching up with her, blocking her way past.''I just felt like a fool for....'' He could'nt speak again as he looked at her and felt an overwhelming urge to grab her and pull her close to his body, her meere prescense making his desire for her escalate.''It would'nt matter what you were.'' He admitted eventually, closing his eyes and shaking his head as he sighed in admittance. ''I just... wanted to know who I was.... ...I just wanted to be sure.''''Oh, you flatter me.'' Karai laughed lightly, caressing the man's face with the back of her fingers, her lips inches away from his as her body still swayed a little to the music. ''Such sweet words from such a handsome man... I bet the ladies go crazy over that smooth talk and fine body...'' The theif purred, running a hand down over his bare chest and stomach. ''But I think we all know the pharoah is going to get off with some rich lady from another land somewhere, dont you?''

The guard was obviously quite flattered by her words and put on a confident smile. "Of course. All the ladies want me! Lets drink on that one!", he said and laughed out loud, before getting his friend to get him some more wine, while he wrapped his hands around Karai's body and pulled her closer. "And who cares about who the Pharaoh will eventually marry? Probably the princess of Syria. Rumors say that she will come and visit Egypt soon to seal the engagement pact. But why do you ask such things my darling? What are you? A spy?" He had only meant it as a joke, never actually suspecting her to be one.
Naina looked straight at Atemu, waiting for him to finish his explanation. "This does not give you the right to hurt me!", she retorted and placed her hands on her hips, looking angry. And yet she didnt feel that way, so she let out a sigh and finally put her hands down again. "Forget about it, my Pharaoh.", she told him with a small smile. "I am just glad i managed to see you again..."

Karai laughed lightly to the mans questions, drinking some of her own wine delicatly. ''Gods no, but who isn't interested in some juicy gossip about our pharoah?'' She asked airly in that same seductive voice, putting a small emphasis on the ninth word in the sentance.''But enough about our pharoah... tell me about you...'' She smiled, geting up and taking him by the hand, pulling the man into a darker corner of the building. ''So we can be alone..'' She winked at him, sitting back down on his lap. ''Now.. tell me all about youself- I'm sure it's interesting....''Behind her back her hand moved into her belt, slowly drawing out the dagger with two fingers as she smiled continuously and flirted till it gave her a headache... just a few more seconds...Atemu just felt worse after that. ''I offer you my humblest apologies, Nania.'' He begged, his genuity showing through his eyes. ''It ws wrong of me.''The fact that he might have offended her in a way that might never heal made his disgusted with himself. ''If there's anything I cna do to make it up to you.... I never wanted to hurt you, Nania.''

Naina had to smile. "Anything??", she asked and smiled even more. "Would you give me a kiss?", she asked. She had to admit that she was longing to feel his lips against hers again. She wanted that sensation she had felt the day before. That magic he had seemed to create inside her.
"Lets keep the talking for later.", the guard murmured and traced his hands along her body. He had no idea what he was getting into.
Touzoko-ou had meanwhile managed to get out of his post and was waling towards the meeting place. He knew he would be there early, but since he was bound to find Karai in the tavern time didnt matter. He had some interesting information he was eager to share with her.

Atemu's heart suddenly sped up as he heard her request, he had to blink a few times before it sank in. ''Of... of course.'' He stepped forward, wrapping his arms around Nania and pulled her close to him, kissing her passionatly on the lips as though it was the last time he would ever do so.And maybe it was. Once again his brain and the screaming logic faded to a distant, blissful buzz and he realised what was happened. I... I like her... He finally admitted to himself, running his strong hands up and down her back as he kissed her, breathing in the sweet scent that almost made his dizzy. It was pure bliss, forbidden, tabbo and utterly irresistable. He loved every second of it.It seemed as though Karai didnt even move but suddenly there was a knife at the man's stomach, pressing into his ribs. ''On the contrary.'' Karai's fake smile was replaced with a smirk as she leaned forward to hide her weapon and pressing it harder agaisnt her skin. ''Lets talk now. Tell me everything you know about the pharoah and maybe you will survive.'' She leaned forward, kissing him on the lips softly for a second as the gaurd protested. ''Ah-ah. No talking about anything else or I kill you, then I go home and tell yout wife and family you are cheating on them right now- and then I'll kill them horribly too.'' She warned sweetlyIt was only a bluff and a wild guess, but it worked and minutes later she moved away from the man with all the information he knew. ''Thank you..'' She whispered, kissing him again as she moved away. ''And by the way? My lipstick is infused with herbal anesthethics. In the next ten seconds you'll have no memory of what just happened.''She made in to their meeting spot minutes later as the man she had jsut seduced slumped back unto the cusions, uconcious. She could barely wait to tell Touzoku-ou, but decided to wait and let him tell his probably insignificant information so she could flatten it with her trump card. ''Get anything?'' She asked, coming up behind the theif, her eyes shining with the excitment she felt of their plan coming together.

Touzoko-ou looked at her and smirked, before eventually bursting out into laughter. "Our plan is advancing better than we thought! With the Pharaoh's engagement in the future things will be even easier for us." His eyes reflected the same excitement that was visible in hers. "What would happen if his bride to be would be replaced on the way with someone else?", he asked, hoping that Karai would catch where he was trying to get to. He walked up to her and played with the bracelets on her arms almost as if he was doing it subconsciously. "Did you kill anyone?", he breathed into her ear. "Did you go on a little hunt? Or did you just play around?"
Naina smiled inwardly as she kissed him back with all her passion, wrapping her arms around him. There was that sensation again, which filled her mind and didnt let her think straight. It was overpowering her. When they broke apart she leaned closer to him and whispered into his ear: "Forgive me your majesty, but I think I love you." And so she kissed him again. She knew she was ruining her life. If she stopped this she could still find a man who might marry her, but if she gave in to this sensation she would be doomed. She knew it and yet she didnt care. All Naina wanted was this man she was kissing.

Karai listned to him talk but as she caught unto what Touzoku-ou was hinting her eye's widened a little. ''Good idea, that might work- but I hope you're not hinting at me.'' She finished firmly, raising an eyebrow. She hated the pharoah, and although the prospects of the plan were excellent..... Karai sighed. ''Well I dont see what other choice we've got- but you do know what means me getting married to- or becoming part of the pharoah's harem?'' The theif asked, folding her arms in defiance. But after all, if it was part of Touzoku-ou's plan, she would help to a certain extent. Her lips twitched into a smile as he played with her bracelets. ''Why do you care- checking up on me?'' She asked in return, glad for once that the man who was talking to her was one she actually liked. ''I have some information you might find most interesting.. the gaurd I seduced gave me some information concerning his majesties... strange behaviour of late.'' Karai wrapped her amrs around Touzoku-ou'sneck and pulled him close into a hug. Not becuase she in any way wanted one, but because to anybody passing by, a prostitute and her client embracing was less suspicious than a dancer and a gaurd standing by the side of the road discussing their pharoah. With her lips inches away from her lover's ear, she continued quietly; ''He snuck out of the palace yesterday and returned in a bad mood, shutting himself inside his room for hours on end and not eating nor drinking... suspicious, no?''Karai stepped away after saying that and counting off the facts on her fingers. Now that that peice of information was out of the way, to anyone listening the topic was not so obvious. ''If you ask me- it sounds like our majesty snuck off to meet a girl- what else would he be doing, sneaking out with no gaurds or presits by his side? And even if he went for an innocent scroll- why the lovesick behaviour?''''No...dont say that.'' Atemu pulled away, his arms still around her slim waist tightly as his throat seemed to constrict, choking and killing his air supply as reality once again slapped him inthe face.He wanted to reply to that so much, he wanted to kiss her again, he wanted her; but Atemu couldnt, his mind a haze of pain and determination. That's why I did'nt want to see her. He realised in a rush. I was falling for her, and now I think I nearly have.''I'm sorry.'' Atemu looked to one side, hardly daring to make eye-contant lest his resolve broke and he gave into himself. ''I cant- YOU cant.'' He looked up then with pleading eyes, as if begging her to resolve the situation. ''I have duties to my people and you... I should never have had done this, I..''The pharaoh held his head in both his hands, shaking it slightly and trying to think. ''I WANT to but I- I cant fall in love with you.'' He finally said firmly, his eyes showing defeat. But why? His mind questioned probingly, the rebellious side he had rarely seen before surfacing now.Because of the rules and regulations and ettiquites that my presits force me to follow? I am pharaoh after all- I should make my own rules. ''But I think its too late for logic.''
