''Yes, actually.'' Karai did'nt say anything further to Touzoku-ou's last question about whether she had stolen anything or not, using the excuse of the thundering hooves and noise around them for her silence. And now she sat in the oasis, washing the blood tenderly away from her split lip and the gash on her ribs, wincing and gasping softly in pain everytime the cold water hit the tender, open wound.Absently, she fingered the pretty pearl neckalace around her neck- the one that Taya, the girl she had held hostage had been wearing. It may have been some sort of precious family heirloom or whatever, but now it was hers. Damn- I knew I should have stolen something more but I thought he'd understand. I was a little busy. The theif thought a little narkily, leaning back on the edge of the bank and closing her eyes. So close... to the end of the pharaoh ''...damnit!!'' She swore suddenly, her irritation exploding suddenly as she thumped the side of the back, causing a tiny cascade of sand and pebbles into the dark waters. She sat there in the water, her chest heaving as she breathed deep in her anger, clenching her fists untill the anger receeded and she resumed playing with the necklace moodily. Atemu listened to the girl speak. Nania... It was beautiful, suiting her perfectly. It slid off the tounge like a sweet memory or something so graceful. ''Well then, thank you, Nania.'' He thanked her once more, feeling for the first time uncomfortable that someone had bowed to him. She saved my life- she need not bow. Only then it struck him of the arkward silence prevailing. Why am I being to kind to this commoner?! I should go, but- whats this!?! He tried to think of something-anything to say but it would'nt come. The mighty pharoah of egypt- ruler of the mightiest nation and yet he could not think of a single word to say to a peasant girl.He was baffled, breathing in the sweet prefume she was wearing he felt intoxicated almost, like the huge fight did not happen and her village did not just get burned down.''My king we must go.'' Shada and Seto- another of his preists that had arrived with the reiforcments had come up behind him, their feet trampling the slightly blood-stained earth underfoot. ''We must get you back to the palace. The rest of the preists will stay due to your command to help rebuild and protect the town, but you must leave.''The voice was firm and stern, and Atemu knew them to be right. ''You're right, Shada. I cannot abandon my people because of what happened here. They need me more than ever.'' He replied, sighing a little wearily. ''But wait-Nania, was it not?'' He stopped and surveyed the beautiful girl with his purple eyes, once again seeming to drown in her beauty. He shook his head and looked away to snap himself out of it.''Tell your people that I shall protect them and catch the vagabond who did this to their town. That I promise. And once again, thank you for my life.'' He vowed before turning and walking through the slightly smoking wreckage and mounting his horse, riding back throughthe rubble with a small platoon of guards to guide him back to the palace as the others stayed to help the village recooperate. As the small village got further and further away with every gallop of his steed, Atemu's resentment grew larger. I shouldnt leave my people like that... but I must I suppose. But that theif will pay!! Once again his mind inadvertantly drifted back to Nania, supprising him slightly. What? Why am I thinking of her?

Naina looked after the leaving form of the Pharaoh. She wanted to say so much and yet nothing came over her lips. When she saw him gallopping away on his horse, she couldn't help but look after him with a longing look in her eyes. But the moment she noticed what she was doing she shook her head and sighed. What am I thinking? I will never see him again!, she told herself firmly and yet the thought hurt her. To distract herself from this confusing situation she went back to her hut to see how much it had been damaged.
Somehow she was not surprised to find it half burned down to the ground and stipped of all its valuable goods. The old widow was kneeling in front of the hut, staring at it with a blank expression on her face. "Do not worry. The Pharaoh will restore everything.", Naina tried to cheer the woman up, but her words seemed to have no effect. "This is no place for a girl like you.", the widow suddenly spoke up after a moment, making Naina jump slightly. "What do you mean?", she asked. "Villages like this are dangerous places. Go to a town, my dear. Go to a town, find a nice man, get married and settle down where you can have a safe future." "No place is safe.", Naina retorted, knowing very well that thieves could cause chaos and destruction anywhere. The old woman nodded and was silent again for a few minutes before saying: "But you are a fine dancer. You should have lots of costumers in a big town like Thebes." "Thebes?!", Naina asked in surprise. "But where should I stay there. Here I have a home and..." But she was interrupted by a cynical laugh coming from the widow. "You mean you HAD a home here. Look at it! Nothing is left! No, you should go to Thebes. My sister lives there. Tell her who sends you and she will let you in. I shall give you something to prove you are saying the truth." Everything happened too quickly for Naina from there on. Before she knew it she held a bag with a few posessions, which had survived the attack and an old ring from the widow and was on her way to Thebes along with a small group of others who decided to try their luck in the capital. Thebes...What will destiny hold for me there?, Naina wondered.
"Such sweet sounds you make.", Touzoko-ou commented from behind Karai. He had sneaked up quietly as a cat and had watched her for some time. With confident steps he approached her and when he was standing in front of her he ran his fingers across the pearls of the necklace. "It does not suit you at all.", he said with a sly grin on his face. "But you should get a fine price for it." He then turned and sat down near the water, looking into the distance with narrowed eyes. "Have you ever thought about attacking a big city?", he asked and looked at her once again. His desire for such a risky adventure was flaring in his eyes, making him look almost slightly mad. "And I mean a city where we could empty some big temples. The treasures stored there arent really used anyways."
Karai had become the one he told about his plans first after some time. He did not admit it, but he valued her strategic thoughts sometimes. For a woman Karai surely was impressive when it came to destruction and chaos. His eyes were fixed on her body as he took her in from head to toe, before finally resting on her bleeding lip. Seeing her like this got his adrenaline pulsing through his body again, but he tried to remain calm.

Karai whipped around at Touzoku-ou approached silently. After all this time she still had not gotten used to him sneaking up so softly and then starting a conversation out of the blue, it still startled her sometimes. She stood as he walked over, feeling no shame- for there was no point to it, he was going to come over anyways. She twitched a little as he came closer, half- instinctivly going to step back but pausing at the last minute, watching him look at the neckalace.Just being near him sent an involuntary shiver down her spine ''Didn't really think of that.'' Was her reply, shrugging slightly as she gingerly pulled her dripping wet body up unto the bank to sit beside him, the cut on her ribs showing up pale and black in the eerie moonlight. That was a lie of course, selling was the first thing that had popped into her mind as she looked at the pretty item. But I kinda wanted to keep it...''The .....Thebes?'' She asked in an uncertain voice, reaching for a dark purple robe-like coat and wrapped it around herself for protection from the harsh and cold night winds. Seeing that look in his eyes made her half want to shiver and half want to drown in those eyes, the spark of madness seemed to pull her inside his mind, driving her insane with curiousty.''Yeah, of course I have.. but after tonight it would be sucide.'' It was a blow to te pride every time she mentioned their defeat but it was true. She looked over the desert sands and unto the faint light of the Thebes city and felt his excitement run through her veins. ''How glorious it would be to destroy cush a beautiful city...'' She whispered, an almost longing look filling her brown eyes. She invisioned the scene in her minds eyes. ''Its an iressistable challenge..'' Karai had to admit as part of her felt Touzoku's eagerness for its destruction. She looked across at him and smiled- although it could not have been decribed as a normal nice and loving smile. It was feirce, proud and longing at the same time. ''But I-'' She stopped and looked down at the front of her coat wher a thick red liquid was oozing through the material.''Agh, wound's bleeding again!'' She cursed, rolling her eyes. Back in the Thebes, Atemu lay in his royal quarters, staring at the ceiling and sometimes out the window unto the dark skies out above, lost in thought completly. He found himself wondering about the girl, and what she was going to do now, and even if she had a home...''Wait- why do I care so much about her and not the other people?'' He rolled over on one side, grimacing as the cuts on his legs jarred slighty.

Touzoko-ou smirked even more at Karai's words. He had to admit that he had not really expected her to agree, but since she did he was feeling even more exciting. "The capital will look magnificent in flames, which will devour it to the very last stone and body.", he said, seeing the image clearly in his mind. But when he suddenly saw the material of the cloth Karai was using as protection turn red, he snapped out of his cruel fantasy. He took the cloth away and examined the wound, running a finger across it and finally licking the blood from his finger. "Its nothing.", he said, talking about the wound. He had been used to far worse. "But seeing as you are weak you should bandage it." He didnt even look at her as he spoke. But then he suddenly turned and pulled her towards him, forcing her into a kiss, not even caring about her wounds.
The journey to Thebes seemed long and tedious and Naina started wondering whether it had been such a good idea after all. But when she saw the lights of the capital at the horizon her start started beating faster and the image of Atemu appeared in front of her inner eye again. Not again! Stop haunting me! Once she arrived in Thebes it took her another few hours to find the house of the widow's sister, who indeed welcomed her warmly and offered her a tiny chamber in her small home. Without even looking around Naina let herself fall onto the bed and was almost instantly asleep. But in her dreams she was once again haunted by a certain monarch with irrestsitible purple eyes.

''I'm fine.'' Karai protested, her blood boiling as the insult bit deep. Her skin shivered slightly where he had ran his finger along the wound, raising the bloody hand to his lips, but not out of pain. ''I just dont want the coa-'' She did'nt get any further as his mouth was suddenly around hers, kissing her roughly. She kissed him back the same way, not letting him having any dominance untill with a grin he leaned forward, suddenly pushing her unto her elbows while he leaned over her, still kissing and not giving her a chance to move. The rough sand scratched her legs slightly but Karai did'nt seem to care. Her heart beat a little faster than usual -It was one of the best things about Touzoku-ou; his spontenaitey. And this... this was the core of it. Atemu dreamt fitifully, everytime he closed his eyes all he saw was Nania being attacked by bandits again... and he could'nt save her... his legs felt like they were made of lead- slow and heavy and he could not move quickly enough....The blade punctured her throat and she fell, blood leaking out of the wound.... ''NO!!'' Atemu roared out, waking up to find it was morning, and that he ahd startled a poor slave that had came to serve him. The hot sun beat down upon the ground outside as Atemu got dressed, musing all the while. What if that was premonition? I cant let her die!! I have to find her The king though feircly, forgetting to actually consider where the feelings came from and that perhaps he might like her. I just want to see her again...

Naina woke up even before sunrise and tiptoed out of the house not wanting to wake the family who had so kindly taken her in. She walked along the street, where some early merchants were already setting up their little shops. Thebes truly was completely different from the village she had lived in and also completely different from the town she had run away from. Around every corner Naina could see something fascinating, but the thing which truly amazed her was the royal palace, towering high above the rest of the town. She started heading towards it to take a closer look, but well aware of the fact that she probably would never get in. The massive gate was well protected by guards, looking at every person who passed with suspicion. Naina walked around the palace, taking in every detail of the magnificent structure. She looked up and saw one long balcony, which seemed to strech along a long part of the wall. From there you must be able to see far beyond the city..., she thought as she looked up to it, imagining the view and not aware of the fact that this balcony was part of the royal chambers.
Touzoko-ou woke early as well, dressed and left the still sleeping Karai where she was. Looking at his hands he saw that they and his body were covered in blood - Karai's blood. He smirked at the memory of the previous night and licked his lips, before going to get some food. The 'relationship' he had with this woman was unlike any other. Although it seemed to be purely physical there was something more; like a mutual understanding. This morning the king of thief felt particularly satisfied with himself, despite the disaster with the attack on the village. Next time they would do better.
"Thebes...this will be one big event.", he thought excitedly, but when he saw the group of his underlings dozing around his grin faded. He would have to increase his numbers for his plan to work out. With this idea in mind he returned to where Karai was sleeping and shook her with quite little gentleness to wake her. "I have a mission for you.", he said. "Seeing that you, as a woman, are far better in attracting some attention. I want you to get me more men.", he ordered, not even waking for her to be fully awake.

Karai woke to Touzoku-ou shaking her. ''What.'' Was her only reply as she yawned, stretching a little before getting up, looking a little supprised that they had stayed at the Oasis the entire night. She grinned a little is satisfaction as the memories came rushing back as her brain woke up.''Understood.'' She nodded nad got up slowly, stretching a little before looking at Touzoku's body a little appreciativly, but mostly staring at the blood. ''I'm glad I dont remember half of that.'' Was her only snide comment on the matter. She agreed eagerly to the job;it may have been annoying to be referred to as 'the woman' all the time but a job was a job- and she loved the idea of stronger armies to conquer the pharoah's city- although if hes suggesting I use feminine wiles on them he has another thing coming. ''Of course.'' After a hurried breakfast and a wash she proceeded out of the camp by horseback on her way to round up more recruits at the hot sun beat some on her cloaked form from the heavens as the horse plodded through the thick dunes of sand. Usually this weather was full of flies who would be atraccted to her wound but she was in too much of a good mood to care despite their loss the night before. The theif king had breifed her vaugly on where to find the men. All she had to do was talk them into coming. And if that failed.... her ka could do some presuading of it's own. After his dutied were performed Atem uwas determined to sneak out of the palace- he could barely keep his mind on the jobs he was doing, all that was on his mind was Nania, which had started to become confusing. Look, maybe if I go see her again I can forget about her. He reasoned with himself.Pulling a ragged hood over his features he snuck out of the side gate, posing as a slave on an errand... and then he was free, on the other side as the gates slammed shut behind him.... I'm free! But how do I find her in her village? How do I even get there? He wondered, realising that stealing a horse and bribing some gaurds to come with him would have been wiser.

Touzoko-ou watched Karai leave with the conviction that she would fulfill the mission to his satisfaction. She did so most of the time after all. "Boss, why do you entrust everything to a woman?", one of his men asked in a clearly mocking voice, but these were the last words he ever uttered for a second later the man was lying dead on the ground. "Anybody else wants to question my decisions?", the king of thief asked alound, putting the dagger away he had presented faster than anyone could look. The men were all silent and nobody dared to move. Taking this as an answer Touzoko-ou started walking away. These men were good for causing trouble, but for nothing more. They had as much brains as a chicken or even less. For him they were nothing else but tools. "In a few days...", the white haired thief kept telling himself with a gring and bloodlust in his eyes.
Naina walked back towards the main street of Thebes to look some more at the shops, when she suddenly noticed a strange figure, who was wearing a hood. Who would dress like this?, she wondered as she slowly moved closer to the figure, but yet trying nott to seem too interested. Is it a thief trying to sneak out? A slave escaping?, she wondered curiously, her imagination running wild, but not wild enough to suspect the King himself escaping.

A few hours later, Karai led her hose to a stop by an Oasis where the thristy animal plunged its face into the water, slobbering up the liquid noisily, its sides heaving as the tomb robber sat beside the beast in ita shade, taking out a bulging wineskin and gulping down the water inside it.She was travelling to a town a few miles from the Thebes where rumors of petty gangs and mob riots on the streets were rampant- word had it 'that the pharoah had to send his men there to keep the peace' One of the other bandit's had told her a week or two ago in a drunken stupor. But I should really thank him. Karai thought to herself as she resaddled the horse and continued on her way. Now I know where to go. Before she left she knelt by the pool, cupping her hands and splashing water into her face, closing her eyes and letting the cool liquid wash away the heat and sand. Now as she rode on urging the horse up a tall dune that overlooked her target village, the droplets of water clung to the short, jagged edges of her hair; shaking with every jolt of the hooves and running down her dark round-shaped face and trailing off into the winds. Karai stood atop the dune to a while, looking across the desert as the cloak flapped around her in the breeze and she smiled before kicking the horse into action, speeding down the dunes in a flurry of sand untill she reached the town below, her heart racing from the speed.A group of thugs lay around an old abandoned temple ruin a half a mile away from the town, lounging around in the shade and occaisionally drinking and fighting so that they did'nt hear the silent footsteps of the cloaked and hooded woman who appraoched. ''Hello. . . gentlemen.''In an instant every knife or weapon of any kind was pointed as her as the thugs realised there was someone else there, springing to their feet and roaring insults and threats, enraged that someone would dare step on their path of land.Karai, out of the corner of her eye saw them encircling her, their eyes widening greedily as they saw she was a woman... ''Enough!" With one fluid motion she grabbed the shoulder of her cloak and pulled, ripping the cape and hood away from and and throwing it aside, revealing her white, knee-lenght outfit and golden jewellery- and also, the disk on her right wrist, which she raised as it started to glow. ''I have come with a offer for you- the king of theives sends his greetings.'' She declared cofidently, lest they think she was a preistess as she stared them down. Immeadiatly all the weapons were lowered a little. Atemu ran through the possibilites in his mind as he strayed around the town a little, staying near the gates. I really should have thought this through. He admitted to himself in a bit of a scolding manner, a little supprised and ashamed that he didnt. I am never this impulsive- what is wrong with me?. He stopped inwardly kicking himself about it and stopped as something very farmiliar caught his eyes. ''No....'' He excalimed slowly, turning to look at a young girl approaching him and blinking a few times to be sure his eyes were not decieving him. There was no doubting it- it was that Nania girl. No, wait- What's she doing here? His mind screamed at the same time a huge surge of relief swept over his entire body. He was about to take a step forward, then stopped, just watching her approach as everything he thought he would say just entirly slipped from his mind, leaving him with a blank. All right, she is safe, now I can forget about her. I must go back to my duties. His mind told him but the pharoah stood there, his body not obeying him, his eyes fixed on the girl.

"What does he want?", one of the bandids, obviously the leader of this group, asked with narrowed eyes. He didnt trust other thieves, especially not the one who proclaimed himself king. The leader of the group raised his sword once more, before bringing it down sharply just a few inches away from Karai. "What kind of offer would he make us? We are not cheap, you know?" Their last fiew excursions had not been too fruitful and he and his men were lusting for some big treasure. So maybe this whole deal would not be too bad. But then again, why would the king of thieves send a woman as his messenger. Is he mocking us?, the leader silently wondered. All the bandids stepped back a few steps when their leader took out his second sword. "Actually, let us talk after I see what you are worth. We do not intend to join any weaklings no matter what the deal is."
Naina was determined not to let this figure escape. Whoever was sneaking around like hat could have nothing good in mind. "You!", she demanded. "What do you think you are doing, sneaking around like that?", she demanded, suddenly cursing at herself for what she was doing. She had never bothered with other people's business, so why was she suddenly so concerned with stopping this fellow from doing anything forbidden. But now that she had already spoken she would have to go through it, for simply walking away was out of question. In her mind she was already trying to develop a plan on how to get out of this, but on the other hand the situation arose her curiosity. "Why are you hiding your face?", she asked, trying to see the figure's features.

Karai looked at the sword embedded in the ground- she had flinched when he had drawn it but now she was staring at him in an apathetic manner. ''Oh please- the reason you wont join a bunch of weaklings is because there is no-one weaker than you.'' She spat in contempt, looking around at the other bandits who were hovering around her, warily eyeing the disk on her right wrist- they had seen what those things could do.''And the next time you make a gender-related jibe you'll loose half your men- is that clear?'' She spat as her disk glowed brighter to make a point- any more an her ka would be released. Okay- so maybe not the best way to start relations.. She knew, but the only perosn who insulted her about her gender and got away with it was Touzoku-ou anyone else got a swift case of their eyeballs being torn out. ''And if you want to know the reason for him sending me then I suggest you challenge him youself.'' ''The theif king needs muscle- and lots of it.'' She announced, looking around the men assembled as she talked, lowering her arm and folding them in front of her chest. ''Lets just say he is planning a bit of anarchy and he needs your help to do so.'' ''You men are useless- lying around and starting smallscale fights. I was part of a team last night that personally almost saw the destruction of the pharoah himself. And if you dont beleive that then the burnt-out remains of the town five miles to your left and the testemonies of the people there will prove that.''She looked around again, making sure to goad them enough to keep the men interested, but not so much that they became angry. ''The theif king has requested you join him. Of course.... you shall get your share. The majority oh whatever you plunder is yours. Its a pretty good deal, and I would'nt miss it if I were you.''Atemu froze at she shouted at him, wondering vaugly what he should do. Running will cause trouble, and I cant cause a fuss or have the gaurds intercept me... He sighed inwardly, trying to think of a way out yet somehow not wanting to leave her after he had found her again- the likelyhood seemed so slim, and yet there she was in front of him. I cant let her go! But why? Why cant I? Whats wrong with me!?! Slowly, slowly his hands reached up to his hood, grasping the material and pulling the hood back, flipping it back over his face so she could see him.I may be making a mistake but... It was like he could'nt stop himself from revealing who he was to her even though the pharoa had only seem her once before.''I'm sorry if I scared you.'' He said in a quiet voice, jerking the hood slightly over his forehead again, but not covering his face as he walked towards her with slow, unsteady steps not quite sure why he was doing that in the first place.

Naina's curiosity grew even more as the figure started lifting the hood, but when a pair of deep purple eyes met hers, she let out a surprised gasp. "Y-Your majesty...!", she exclaimed and quickly bowed. "I had no intent to insult you! Please forgive me!" How stupid am I? Shouting at the Pharaoh!! This is the worst thing I could do!, she complained inwardly. But then again she felt strangely happy to see him again, although she hightly doubted that he remembered her. Who was she but one of many other peasants?
The leader stopped for a moment, contemplating Karai's words. The news about the destruction of the village had spread fast and he had obviously heard about it. If the king of thief was gathering more people it meant that he was planning something big, which indicated lots of possible treasures to steal. "What are his plans? I am not joining to any mad ideas.", the man asked, putting his sword away and sitting down, motioning for Karai to sit down as well, while he ordered one of his men to fetch wine. If there was a talk about business this could not be missing. "We might be bandidts, but we value our lives as any other. So tell us what we are signing up for, woman.", he ordered, pretending as if he had completely ignored her warning before about gender-comments.

''Just remember that I could just as easily give the order to kill you.'' Karai narrowed her eyes at the man as she sat and took the wine offered to her but did not drink it. She knew she was safe as the men wouldnt kill her for fear of the theif-kings wrath and that gave her even more reason to attack the man.But she refrained, knowing she would loose their support. ''I suggest you use some respect in your tone when adressing me. But lets not get off on the wrong foot.'' Her snappy tone was replaced by a lilting and polite voice as she forced a nice smile. ''I cannot tell you much, but the plan involves attacking a large city, where the treasures and temples are almost too many to count, catch my drift?'' She raised an eyebrow at the man as she drank some wine carefully, hoping that he caught on to the city she was talking about ,or else he was as thick as a plank.''Please, stop bowing.'' Atemu implored her a little uncomfortably, waving his hands in front of him as for some reason, her bowing made his seem like a cruel monarch of some sorts. Strange- I never mind when Mahaado or anyone else bows to me, but its this girl....''There's no need to apologise- you had no way of knowing who I was.'' He said with a small smile, holding out his hand to help her up like yesterday, his heart feeling less and less compressed as he looked at her. Beautiful though she was, Atemu got the feeling that she would be very easy to talk to...What am I thinking? I just came to find her- and now I can go. I have duties to perform and Mahaado shall lecture me if he finds out I have escaped... ''Actually, I was looking for you.'' He blurted out before he could stop himself and he looked away, a little embarassed. ''You... and your village.'' He ammended quickly. What has gotten into me? The great pharoah of egypt, and yet I cannot say one incoherant sentance to a dancer girl?

"You plan on attacking Thebes", the leader asked, raising an eyebrow. Immediately the other bandits started murmuring amongst each other about how daring or how stupid the thief king was to even think of such a plan. "Is your leader that desperate to get caught?", the man asked Karai before gulping down the contents of his cup and getting it refilled. "Thebes is the capital of the country, residence of the Pharaoh! The most protected town in all the country!", he exclaimed. "It will be impossible to do anything there!" He finished his second cup, starting to feel the wine get to his head already. He had never been one to take much alcohol. "But tell your leader this. We will agree to this madness as long as he lets us do our own thing once we attack this town. We have always followed our own rules and this is not about to change, got that?" If he was alread sending his men to an almost certain death he at least wanted to let them enjoy themselves a little.
Naina felt her heart beat faster as she took his hand and let him help her up, just like he had done before. "Looking for me?", she asked, a smile appearing on her face. It meant that he remembered her! And even though he added her former village, she still felt incredibly happy. "I do not live there anymore. I moved to Thebes, since I was told it is a lot safer here.", she told him, not knowing why she actually felt like sharing the information with him. "Where are you going now your majesty?", she asked, immediately wanting to hit herself for being so straighforward, but she couldn't help it. She wanted to talk to him, wanted to spend some time with him and at the same time she wanted him to lift the spell he seemed to have casted on her.

''On the contrary- a sneak assualt will be easy- most gaurds will be dead by the time they realise whats going on. And their one weakness in that they care about human lives- all we need are a few hostages and the city is ours for the taking.'' Karai replied calmly, finishing off her glass of wine and putting the glass aside before rising to leave.''I'm glad we have an accord. If you still agree then send one of your men to meet at the last oasis before the wastelands fifteen miles north of here at the next full moon. We shall seal our agreement there.'' Karai knew full well that the whole gang would not go for fear it was a trap, but but boss would not mind sending one. She inclined her head breifly before turning and walking back past the other thugs and out into the afternoon sun to the shade of a ruined pillar where her horse was tethered and swung one leg over the makeshift saddle, pulling herself upright on the horses back. ''I doubt your independance will be a problem, but double-cross us and mark my words, NONE of you will live.'' Her voice floated back to them as she kicked her heels into the horses flank and making it buck forward, riding away around the dunes and out of sight back to the oasis to feed the horse, then home back to kal-elna. That had been her last stop. So far out of the twelve villages and gangs she had tried, nine had agreed to join- the other two had met their swift and bloody ends. All in all, it had been a good day. She smirked as the horse travelled westwards as the sun had begun to set. Touzoku-ou would be pleased.''Y-Yes.'' Atemu replied, hoping that he wasnt looking as embarrassed as he felt right about then. ''I wanted to know if everything was all right since the attack last night....I felt guilty about leaving the village and....'' and you he thought but didnt dare say it.''Its probably safer that you've moved here.'' He added, feeling slightly happier now that he had heard those words- and again that irritated and confused him. Why?''Where am I going?'' Atemu echoed her question, a little supprised as a sheepish smile crept unto his face. ''I don't know. I didn't think about it that much....'' There he was at it again, stumbling and falling over himself talking to the pretty girl. This was driving him insane.''Umm, I had better head back to the palace...'' He admitted regrettfully, looking over his shoulder at the huge building but not wanting to leave yet. ''What about you? What will you do now that your here?'' He asked, referring to the occupation she would take up- anything to keep talking to her, and besides he wanted to know. Maybe he could find her again....
