Theese rules were written by TwilightMagican, and I'm here just finalising them.List your deck
-You must go here and actually list your dueling deck in this sub-forum. Follow the rules set there. You can't duel in the battle arena until you do so. You can always go back to your post and edit the deck if you wish to do so. No actual conversations in this thread, just deck postings. You must duel with the deck you posted in the deck listing thread. No other decks will be allowed unless you go back and change your deck listing.
-Your deck must comply with the rules set by UpperDeck themselves. Here is a link to the official website where you can check the lists for forbidden/restricted cards.

When making a challenge:-There needs to be a thread strictly for challenge offers. This would be where members would come and say "Hey, I want to duel, would anyone like to play against me?" (or something like that). This would be if you don't have anyone in particular you want to duel. If you know who you want to duel, you could pm them or find them on the site and ask them.
Starting the duel-Make a separate thread specific for your duel. The subject should have the two usernames against each other (ex: Username 1 vs. Username 2). This is the only place that your duel can be carried out.
-If a tag team duel, you need to say so and decide the order of all the players. In the subject, you should name the teams versus each other (ex: team 1 vs. team 2). In the first post, if the usernames won't fit on the subject line, put all participating duelists in the first post.
Dueling
Here's what needs to be in your posts:
-Current life points
-Declare your plays clearly. That means you must say how many monsters/magic/traps you're playing.
-In regards to the cards, you must type out the full card name and the description as it's typed on the card. There are a ton of cards out there now, there's no way anyone can remember all of them and their effects now. If you feel the need to explain then please do so. Monsters should probably have their star level mentioned as well.
-Give your opponent a chance to retaliate. Don't play a chain of 5 magic cards (for example) unless you know your opponent doesn't have any face down cards to stop your attack.
-End your turn clearly
Now of course, a duel isn't a duel without all of that witty banter! So you can chat with each other if you want, don't feel limited to just dueling.
Watching a duel-Spectators should be allowed to comment in the thread, but NO ONE is allowed to just pop in their cards out of nowhere and enter the duel, or play an almighty card to help one of the players. The duel is strictly between the participants and they reserve the right to contact the moderators and have you punished if you do this. Otherwise, you can go to cheer your friends if you please, just try not to crowd the thread with non-related posts.
Just play clean from the start
-The participants are responsible to solve any disputes involving the duel. If a dispute concerning the rules escalates, then get a moderator to decide what should happen. If needless flaming or major disputes occur, then your thread should be deleted by the moderators with a ban time from the arena (like for a week or something).
This is what I have for now. If there's anything I left out or suggestions/changes you guys wish to make to these rules, then please say so. I hope I helped!
